I read a statement that triggered my brain earlier today. It said "The task ahead of you, is never as great as the power behind you." This is so true today. I used to struggle so much with intimidation and fear. When I spoke in public or performed on stage I would get that tight stomach feeling, my breathing would get more rapid and soon I was crumbling on the inside. Once, I got up to preach and almost fainted on stage due to this struggle within. But honestly, imtimidation and fear is exactly what the devil uses to stop the people of God moving forward. Pst John Bevere preached and incredible sermon called "Breaking the Spirit of Intimidation", and pointed out very clearly that intimidation causes God's gift inside of us to go dormant. That word "Dormant" means to slowly stop or decrease. So fear and intimidation literally destroys and inactivates God's ability to work through us. But as Christians often times we forget the Power that we have through Christ. He conquered fear and death.2Tim 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. He has given us power through the Holy Spirit "to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:19) But we often times look at the situation and let that engulf our thoughts. But we are called to be better than that. We are called to stand on the promise of God's word and believe in faith that He is able to move upon our situations and turmoils. We need Grace. See, 'Grace' is God's ability to do that which we are unable to do. When Peter open up in 2Pet 1 he says "...grace be multiplied to you" - He understood that to survive and thrive in life is that we need GRACE and have it multiplied in our life! Grace gives us the abilty to trample fear and conquer intimidation. No longer do we need to be subject to it, but we can arise and have the victory. Remember "The task ahead of you, is never as great as the power behind you."
